AF-Umzüge is not a call centre with a vehicle fleet attached. When you call here, you speak to the people who will be standing at your door on moving day.

AF-Umzüge is an owner-run business from Düsseldorf's old town. Andreas Fietz runs the company himself — and is personally present at most surveys. That is not a marketing promise but simply the size at which we want to operate: big enough for any move in the region, small enough that nobody becomes a job number.
It started with one van and moves within Düsseldorf. Today we move private households, offices and seniors across the whole Rhine-Ruhr region, clear flats and cellars, assemble furniture and apply for no-parking zones. What has stayed the same: we say beforehand what it will cost, and afterwards the price holds.
For most people a move is an exceptional day on which a lot can go wrong at once. Our job is to make it unspectacular instead. The best feedback we get is therefore not "amazing" but "completely relaxed".

The price we quote
After the survey you get a written fixed price. We have never renegotiated on moving day — and we are not going to start.
Always the same people
We work with a permanent crew rather than changing day labourers. Whoever carries your furniture has done it hundreds of times before.
We know the streets
Period stairwells in the Altstadt, one-way streets in Flingern, backyards in Bilk: we plan the move for the address you actually have.
Insured, without the small print
Transport insurance is part of every job, not an add-on. And if something does happen, we sort it out without you having to chase us.
